Programs

COTA (Tas) currently runs three programs for the benefit and involvement of all older Tasmanians.

1. ADCIS
2. LLLS
3. Peer Education

and has a further program under development

1. The Seniors Information Service

However COTA (Tas) also auspices and / or has formed partnerships with a number of other like-minded organisations, both community and government.

1. TALENT, (Third Age Learning Network of Tasmania)
2. BODY BIZ with its Seated Exercise program
3. The Sherri Lendrun Ballroom Academy in organising ballroom dancing classes and functions
4. 16 LLLS (Living Longer Living Stronger TM) Providers statewide.

We are co- partners with Voluntering Tasmania in auspicing the 2005 International Day of Volunteering launch of a postcard guide to volunteering for older people.

We assist the Dept of Transport in presenting two seminars:-
a) Safe Driving for Older Persons
b) Older Person’s Pedestrian Safety

We are currently assisting the Crime Prevention Dept. in developing a booklet on ‘Safety in the Home & Community’.
