Peer Education

A most effective way to provide useful information to small groups is through “peer educators”, people who relate easily with the groups they talk with. Through quite informal conversations with the group, they are trained to pass on important news and information in a collaborative, interesting way. COTA’s peer educators are popular with community groups in southern Tasmania.

What is Peer Education? It is learning from another person with whom you have something in common. This can include age, culture or interest. It is a process where both the presenter and the participants contribute to the learning process.
